Privacy Policy
Movobrief is a voice-first capture app: you speak, type, photograph, or scan a thought, and Movobrief turns it into actions you can review and complete. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the controls you have. The short version: your captures belong to you, we process them only to run the service, we do not sell or share them for advertising, and you can export or delete everything at any time.
1. Data we collect

2. How your captures are processed
Voice recordings are uploaded securely and transcribed into text. That text, together with typed and photographed input, is then analyzed to extract actions (tasks, reminders, events, drafts). This processing is the purpose of the app — it does not happen for any other reason.
Transcription and AI processing use the following providers, under data-protection terms:
- Cloudflare — storage, compute, and speech-to-text (Workers AI).
- OpenRouter — routes transcription and language-model requests (for example, OpenAI Whisper for audio and Gemini for extraction and drafting).
Text recognition on photos and documents (OCR) runs on your device where possible, so the raw image does not need to leave your phone just to read it.
3. What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use your captures to advertise to you.
- We do not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the app.
- We do not use your content to train advertising models.
4. Data you keep only on your device
Some data never leaves your device: your sign-in session and, if you enable biometric sign-in, the credentials needed for it are stored in your phone's encrypted secure storage (Keychain / Keystore). Offline captures are queued locally until they can be uploaded.
5. Notifications
Push notifications (for finished processing and due reminders) are delivered through your platform's push service (for example, Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android). You can turn these off at any time in Settings or in your device settings.
6. Your controls
- Export: request a full export of your account data in Settings.
- Delete: request account deletion in Settings; this removes your captures, transcripts, and results.
- Permissions: microphone, photos, and notification access are requested only when a feature needs them, and can be revoked in your device settings.
7. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your captures, transcripts, and results; backups age out in line with our standard retention schedule. You can export your data before deleting your account.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Media files are stored in access-controlled object storage and are only reachable through short-lived signed URLs. We follow least-privilege access for the systems that hold your data. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you where required if something goes wrong.
9. Children's privacy
Movobrief is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
10. Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
